Strode, Robinson, Washington during their UCLA days.

During a time when African-Americans were excluded from most major university programs, UCLA had three notable players in their backfield. Woody Strode and Kenny Washington would go on to sign with the LA Rams, the first Blacks in the NFL since the informal ban in the 30s. Jackie Robinson would go on and break the colour barrier in baseball.

After playing with LA, Strode would move to Calgary for 2 years before retiring due to injuries. He would become a successful wrestler and actor.
