Skies will clear early this morning as high pressure builds over the region from the west, with mild temperatures today and Friday. Breezy conditions are expected today with winds gusting around 25 mph through this afternoon. An unsettled weather pattern is expected this weekend as a strong storm system impacts the plains Saturday and Sunday. This will bring rain and isolated thunderstorm chances to the area starting Saturday afternoon, with rain changing to snow from the west to the east overnight Saturday. Light snow accumulations will be possible across the area on Sunday, with the best chances across the north. Blowing snow will also be possible Sunday where accumulating snow occurs.
