A weak area of low pressure will bring a chance of wintry precipitation to the region Thursday night. It looks like there may be a mix of snow and sleet across northeast Missouri and west central Illinois, and sleet and freezing rain across central and southeast Missouri as well as southwest Illinois. The very cold surface temperatures will allow any precipitation to accumulate and produce hazardous driving conditions on untreated roadways.
