Wintry weather will affect much of the area tonight...generally northwest of the I-44 corridor in Missouri and northwest of the I-70 corridor in Illinois. Precipitation will mainly be sleet and snow back in Central Missouri up through West Central Illinois where 1 to 3 inches of accumulation are possible. Further south into East Central Missouri and Southwest Illinois...the precipitation will start as rain...and change over to freezing rain through late evening. 0.1 to 0.2 inch of ice accumulation are possible. Across the Eastern Ozarks...heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely 1 to 2 inches of rainfall is possible overnight.
