I Just got a message from a Fan Saying they wanted to run Away because their parents dont accept them for being gay. This broke my heart because ii was once that kid that had noone in his corner. He asked me if he should do it. I replied. "I Understand that there is alot going on at home and you have alot on your shoulders but DO NOT RUN AWAY! I Know it seems like things will never get better but I Can assure you that they will. I was Just like you once. Living in a small town where EVERYONE thought they knew exactly who u are. Talking shit. Calling you names. I Get it ! I also ran away at 14 with a guy who was almost 10 years older than me and the outcome of that has scarred the rest of my life. I trusted someone i barely knew with my life and almost lost it. This is something only 1 other person knows but ii was taken advantage of when ii was 14 by this person. in a way he completely ruined my teen-hood. YOU DONT WANT TO BE THAT PERSON! You dont want to go through that type of thing. .. the reason im sharing this with everyone is to warn Teens. DO NOT RUN AWAY ! Its not a Safe thing to do. If your not being harmed at home PLEASE dont run away. u never know what can happen. Im Not saying to stay there ant take it either tho. Move with a fmily member, Get help from a teacher or if things are really bad call CPS, Or the police. there are better options than running away. Hope things work out Jason!
