Warmer air will spread across the region this week, pushing temperatures 10-15 degrees above what we typically experience in January in this part of the country. A low pressure system will bring showers and a chance of thunderstorms to parts of Missouri and Illinois during the middle of the week. The most likely period for rainfall will be from Wednesday night through Thursday night. Areas along and south of I-44 in Missouri and I-70 in Illinois could see anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of rain with this system at this time.
