A strong winter storm that has brought snow to most of eastern Utah and western Colorado will move east across the region today. The associated cold front across southeastern Utah and west central Colorado will push southeast out of our area by midday. The heaviest snow will occur along this front. Clearing will follow this afternoon behind the upper level trough (red dotted line), although cold northwest flow will keep snow across most mountain ranges until evening. Please see www.weather.gov/gjt for the latest on the warnings/advisories in effect. High pressure moves in tonight with the coldest temperatures so far this season in most places.
