I fondly remember Ravi Shankar playing a sitar at Khar High School in Bombay India. Of all the publicity Ravi Shankar received from the West, he still was an humble person. Simple in attire and almost modest in his demeanor. The concert was meant to celebrate another Indian musician's death anniversary.. Pannalal Ghosh, an Indian flute "Bansuri" player.

A Sunday afternoon concert had very small audience. Less than two dozen not counting disciples of Pannalal Ghosh, family members and few Bengali teachers of the Khar High School.

Indians care less for music. Classical music. Bollywood corrupted musicians and created a monster called Indian Music, Oops, Bollywood version.

May Lord God, rest Ravi Shankar's soul. My heartfelt condolences to his daughter.
