Dens (ex) Occidens: Fidelis' Working-Blade. #KaBar #magic --- If Tenkiba is my athame, this is my boline. Dens is a modern, Americanized tantō-inspired knife-of-all-trades, by Ka-Bar. When it comes to function, this is -- by far -- THE BEST knife I've ever owned. If I had to have just one blade in the middle of nowhere, it would be good ol' Dens here. I've used this guy for everything from trimming cactus, to cleaning candleholders, to cutting cheese. NOTHING dulls it down. It never rusts, and the black matte coating makes it a snap to clean. Given that this is a very American, Western blade, I decided to go with Latin for the name instead of Japanese: Dens ex Occidens can be translated as "Fang from the West." The last name has the first name as part of it -- a bit of wordplay I couldn't resist. :o)
