Uncomfortable Conversations is a youth-led initiative created by Dreams Work, Inc. that uses live theatrical presentations to build awareness and spark a dialogue around domestic and teen dating violence. ...
Uncomfortable Conversations strives to promote self-esteem and self-confidence in young people and provide participants and audiences with information on where to turn for help when dealing with these issues. The workshop is part of a collaborative, community-based youth violence prevention program, Way to P.E.A.C.E., led by United Way of the National Capital Area in conjunction with other impactful youth-serving organizations.

Uncomfortable Conversations is a collection of 4 short plays plus an interactive panel discussion. Each play focuses on a different interaction among young people affected by violence. These include: conversations with the victim (male or female), conversations with friends, conversation with parents, and conversations with myself -a peak into the mind of the abuser.
