Paranorman had a subtle Mayan vibe I wasn't expecting. The climatic scene had music and visuals plucked straight out of Mayan-themed The Fountain.

An hour later I took kids to the cinema and watched Paranorman. Nearly identical imagery pops up during one of Normans forest visions.
