William Crampton Gore (1871-1946), 'On the line', Published in 'Punch', 4 September 1901 Crampton Gore was an accomplished painter who initially trained as a doctor. He studied at the Slade School, London under Henry Tonks, where he befriended William Orpen. He regularly exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy (1905-1939) and was elected an Associate member in 1916 and a full member in 1918. #Archive #JackofAllTrades
