One of the worst school systems in the nation, in the middle of a depression, and on strike because they can't get a 35% pay raise. These spoiled brats should be ashamed of themselves. The average private sector employee in Chicago makes around $47K per year. While the public sector teachers they subsidize make well over $70K, and that's before their Cadillac benefit packages - which definitely dwarf private sector benefits. I think these teachers need to get their asses back to work and get a little proper perspective. And perhaps they should ask themselves... Just who are we striking against?
