I'm excited to partner with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to support good health and nutrition at the "Farmer's Market: Food Desert" in Ward 8 in DC. Attendees will receive information about planning balanced meals using the USDA’s new healthy “My Plate” food portion initiative, local health and wellness resources available in the District, and have the opportunity to shop for local produce and foods from regional farmers.
