CARE International in Zambia celebrated its 20th Anniversary this year on June 7th, 2012. CARE International was invited in 1992 by the Zambian Government to help mitigate the effects of the drought and poverty situation experienced both in rural and urban communities. Since then, CARE Zambia has worked in partnership with both central and local Government, private sector, civil society and local communities to support the realization of rights of the poor and most vulnerable in society.
