This is the Lancaster General Hospital Serving House, possibly taken in the 1920s. It was used as the interns’ home in 1951-52. It was a private home when the person who took this particular photo entered the nursing school in 1909. The first floor was also once used as the hospital laundry, and the second floor was used for food storage (apples, etc.) when Auxiliary donation days rolled around.
