As the Earth passes through the dusty tail of Comet Thatcher (which normally happens every year), it causes a meteor shower commonly known as “the Lyrids”. This meteor shower peaks on Saturday night, April 21st and forecasters expect 10 to 20 meteors per hour, although outbursts as high as 100 meteors per hour are possible.
So come and visit us at Seven Suites Hotel Observatory and enjoy this spectacular in the sky using the 4th largest and the only commercially accessible telescope in the Philippines with the assistance of our in-house astronomer, Mr. Ramon Acevedo.
