This is 72 year old Wilbert "Bill" Tillett of Crooked Tree Village. He was sitting in his home on March 20, 2012 when he was attacked and robbed of BZ$10,000 by two armed gunmen. They slapped him several times on the face and bound his arms and legs and left him inside his bathroom. Mr. Bill said he believes that these assailants were not from Crooked Tree.

Crooked Tree Village is under attack from criminals and we do not have a police station nor a police presence in the village. It has been over two years since we had an officer in our village and over ten years without a functioning police station. We have had seven robberies and home invasion in seven weeks.

We are asking the government of Belize to provide security for us and we are working on a petition inside the village to bring back a police officer to our village and ultimately a police station.

We need your help because there's no way we can do this alone!!!!! We are counting on at least 1500 people signing the petition.
