Pork Challenge Promotion 
Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR MOBILE TWEETING IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR MOBILE TWEETING WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

The Pork Challenge Promotion (the “Promotion”) starts on Friday, March 30 2012 at 8 AM EST and ends on Friday, April 6 2012 at 7 PM EST (the “Promotion Period”). 

ELIGIBILITY: Promotion is open to attendees of the International Association of Culinary Professionals conference who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older. Employees of the National Pork Board (“Sponsor”), Weber Shandwick, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and advertising agencies, and members of their immediate family (spouses and parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of such employees, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Twitter.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:  During the Promotion Period, participants will receive an entry card via email or from a Sponsor representative, which will contain directions for each pork-themed challenge. To enter, obtain an entry card and complete one or more of the following pork-themed challenges to earn one (1) entry for each:   

1) Answer the Following Question: Answer the following question on your entry card: What pork cut is AHA certified with the iconic Heart-Check mark? If you answer the question correctly, you will receive one (1) entry. All decisions as to whether an answer is correct are at Sponsor’s sole discretion and are final and binding.

2) Complete the Following Phrase: “Pork at 145_____”(Hint: Pick up your free t-shirt at Pork’s Saturday 10:30 AM networking break for the answer.) If you correctly complete this phrase, you will receive one (1) entry. All decisions as to whether the phrase is correctly completed are at Sponsor’s sole discretion and are final and binding.

3) Visit The National Pork Board’s Break Session: Visit the National Pork Board’s break session and you will receive one (1) pork sample and a secret password as proof. Write down the password on your entry form to receive one (1) entry. All decisions as to whether the password is correct and valid are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. 

4) Take a Picture of a Pork Dish or Pork Team Member and Post it on Twitter:  Include your Twitter hashtag on your entry card. Then, take a picture of a pork dish or pork team member at any time during the conference using, http://twitter.com, log-in to your Twitter account, follow @allaboutpork (if you are not already following), and submit a tweet of the picture with the hashtag #PorkSpotting to receive one (1) entry. Limit one (1) entry per person and per Twitter account via this method. All photos must comply with Twitter format and file size requirements. Retweets will not count as an entry. A Twitter account is required to enter via this method and can be opened for free at http://twitter.com. All photos must comply with the requirements set forth herein and below. 

To Submit your Entry Card: There are three (3) ways to submit your entry card to earn up to four (4) entries: 

1) Via Email: Email your completed entry card to Contests@pork.org.  Entries submitted via this method must be submitted by 7:00 PM EST on Friday, April 6 2012. 

2) Submit to a Sponsor Representative:  During the International Association of Culinary Professionals conference, submit your completed entry card to a Sponsor representative. Entries submitted via this method must be submitted by Monday, April 2.

General Entry Conditions: Limit four (4) entries per person and per Twitter account for the entire Promotion.  All entries must be received by 7:00 PM EST on Friday, April 6 2012 to be eligible. If you choose to tweet using your mobile phone, standard text messaging fees for text messages sent may apply. See your wireless service provider for pricing plan details. Entries generated by script, macro or other mechanical or automated means or practices and entries by any means which subvert the entry process are void. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.  

REQUIREMENTS OF PHOTOS: Photo may not contain, as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, any content that:

•	is sexually explicit or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; contains nudity;
•	promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message;
•	is obscene or offensive; endorses any form of hate or hate group;  
•	defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people or companies;
•	contains trademarks, logos or trade dress (such as distinctive packaging or building exteriors/interiors) owned by others, with the exception of the Pork. Be Inspired logo;
•	contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media);
•	contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, or other indicia identifying any person, including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures, living or dead 
•	contains look-alikes of celebrities or other public or private figures, living or dead;
•	communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will to which Sponsor wishes to associate; and/or
•	violates any law.

Photo must be the original work of the entrant, may not have been previously published, may not have won previous awards, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.  By submitting an photo, entrant warrants and represents that he/she consents to the submission and use of the photo in the Promotion and to its use as otherwise set forth herein.

DRAWING: ONE (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing held on or about Monday, April 9 from all eligible entries received by an independent judging agency.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be notified by mail, phone, and/or e-mail and may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within 14 days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner or a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner selected.  If a potential winner is at least 18 but still considered a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, prize may be awarded in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein.

PRIZES (ONE): $500 American Express Gift Card. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) is $500 each.  Total ARV of all prizes: $500.  Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value.  Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided.  All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Gift card is subject to certain terms and conditions specified by issuer. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute the prize (with one of comparable or greater value. GENERAL CONDITIONS:  By participating, each entrant agrees: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor and judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Promotion; (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, Weber Shandwick, Twitter and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation in the Promotion or any Promotion-related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize; and (c) to the use of his/her name, voice, performance, photograph/video, image and/or likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by Sponsor and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from  entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.  In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules.  Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. Released Parties not responsible for misdirected or undeliverable Twitter updates ("tweets") or for any technical problems, malfunctions of any telephone lines, computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof.

USE OF PHOTOS: By submitting a photo as part of an entry, each entrant agrees Sponsor shall have an irrevocable, perpetual, and fully paid-up and royalty free right to use, license and otherwise exploit the photo submitted (including all rights embodied therein) throughout the world in any and all media now or hereafter known (including on its websites and social media channels), and that it and its designees may exploit, edit, modify, and distribute the photo and all elements of such photo, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations embodied therein, without compensation, permission or notification to entrant or any third party.

MISCELLANEOUS: Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged, inaccurate, delayed, misdirected, or garbled tweets, emails, answers, and/or entries; or for lost or stolen entry boxes; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing of tweets, emails and/or entries, the announcement of the prizes, the determination of the winners or in any Promotion-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion.  Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading materials from or use of the website.  Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion or website, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated tweets and/or entries will be void. Should any portion of the Promotion be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of tweets and/or entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Promotion (or portion thereof) and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winner in a random drawing from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
