A collage of two African women’s paintings pertains to a story related last night on my Facebook Wall (around midnight Sunday, March 4, 2012) at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=646647614. You’ll understand from the story why I searched so long for suitable images of African women, having referenced in the story Peter Paul Rubens’ The Union of Earth and Water. That Rubens is absolutely great http://twitpic.com/6177g5, even if I say so myself! Well, and now this young lady with an African name asked me about menstrual cycle issues… which questions I naturally answered. I hope to be forgiven for these portraits of African ladies not being exactly from west Africa (at least not both of the images), but the paintings are rather exquisite, too.
