Though the calendar says Jan. 31, the temperature is in the mid-50s, and West Aurora is able to utilize its new all-weather Field Turf stadium for P.E. classes. Nearly 200 contributors have donated or pledged more than $1 million so far for the installation, which is allowing West to expand the use of the stadium for band and athletic team practices, games, community youth sports programs and overcrowded gym classes.
