The most time-consuming part of the Angels Flight Railway's ongoing Biennial Maintenance involves the two cars, Olivet and Sinai. The cars have been back on their tracks on Bunker Hill for more than three years. In addition, since reopening in March of 2010, approximately one million PAIRS of shoes have walked up or down the cars' stairs. (Say, 500,000 pairs per car.) The floor in Sinai is being refinished in this January 16, 2012, photo.
