40 years ago. (Wednesday, August 11, 1971) — Beatle John Lennon was filmed today at an anti-internment Occupied I
Ireland rally in London and a demonstration for Oz magazine, used in the video for the song Crippled Inside.

Am I going to prison?

Probably not.

So why do I care about internment without trial in British Occupied ireland?

Maybe you care about the gradual erosion of our most basic civil liberties?

Ehhh..well ... okay, fine.

The gist of the outcry is that an unelected Englishman in Occupied Ireland, has signed the indefinite detention of an Irish woman, that their own British courts ordered released and their Queen pardoned.

Indefinite?

Yeah, can you believe it?

No, explain what indefinite means.

It means she can be held for as long as necessary, without a trial.

But putting a possible terrorist in prison forever, is that a bad thing?

The whole point of a supposed justice system is determining if someone is actually guilty of the charges against them. But in this case, the British can detain any possible Irish suspect in Occupied Ireland without ever having to prove their guilt.

So maybe any of us may be going to prison without trial ?

Possibly if you don't shut up !
