Expressive Arts Therapies utilize the arts as a way of fostering human growth; develop self awareness, insight and self expression, facilitating positive life change and enrichment. Art Therapies differ from art as an activity; focusing more on the process rather than the product. The Cancer Center at Chandler Regional Medical Center will provide cancer patients and co-survivors (family and those in the caregiving role) with music therapy, journaling, and art therapy with the following goals/expected outcomes:

• Decrease anxiety, stress and pain

• Increase positive mood, body awareness, and emotional health

• Increase physical and emotional strength

• Build social networks for support; and

• Facilitate the mind/body connection

Come to one class, all classes or somewhere in between! “Drop Ins” welcome!
