Dec. 15: Maj. Gen. John Peabody, President of the Mississippi River Commission (MRC) and commander of the Corps' Mississippi Valley Division (left) met with Levee and Drainage District #3 board member David Brewer (right) and other partners and stakeholders to inspect work at the upper inflow crevasse on the Birds Point-New Madrid Floodway. This was General Peabody's first opportunity to visit the area and listen to the ideas and concerns of residents since taking command of the Division in November of this year.
