He is shown erasing "public" and not "republic" @Quaoar1. Very apt to the situation.

I'm not sure I understand Amadinejad's erasing the word "republic". Iran was a republic in name only. Iran is an Islamic dictatorship since 1979 when the evil Shaw was deposed. I would rather see him erase the word "Iran" and replace it with "Persia".
