London – November 21, 2011: McDonald’s UK COO Richard Forte (center) breaks ground at the company’s first Olympic Park restaurant joined by recently selected members of the McDonald’s Olympic Champion Crew from left to right Murat Ocalan, Amy Dunne, Stephanie Forrester and Tariq Zaied. This group of 2,000 top-performing restaurant employees from the UK and around the world will serve the athletes, coaches, media and spectators during the 29 days of the Olympic and Paralympic Games next summer. As the Official Restaurant of the Olympic Games, McDonald’s is building four venue restaurants at the Olympic Park including two public facing restaurants, one in the Athletes’ Village, and one in the Main Press Center.
