Members of the Burrow Beekeeping Group in Garissa, Kenya, show off honey and candles they produce from their bees. With the assistance of @CARE, the group was founded in 2005 by former pastorsalists who were forced to abandon their old livelihood as they lost their animals to drought.

Now, business is booming. The women earn enough money to pay for their children's education, other household expenses and to invest in small enterprises.

In addition to providing immediate aid to those suffering in the #HornofAfrica famine, @CARE has initiated several long-term resilience projects like this one to help pastoralists diversify their livelihoods so the affects of this and future droughts won't be life-threatening.
