Actress Hedy Lamarr was not only a beautiful and talented actress, she was also an inventor! Lamarr co-invented an anti-jamming device that was used in radio-controlled torpedoes during World War II. Her invention is also the foundation for technology used in our cell phones today. NWHM will be honoring her at the de Pizan Honors on November 16th.
