 of McHenry Ill.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion 69th Armor Regiment 3rd Brigade Combat Team 3rd Infantry Division Fort Benning Ga.;  Died Sept. 5 in Baghdad of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit during combat operations.  2 soldiers from Illinois killed in Iraq  The Associated Press  CHICAGO — Two soldiers from northern Illinois were killed in separate incidents in Baghdad the Department of Defense said Sept. 7.  Pvt. Randol Shelton of the Chicago suburb of Schiller Park  Died Sept. 4 from wounds inflicted by an improvised explosive device the Defense Department said in a statement.  The 22-year-old  Died along with two other soldiers assigned to Fort Riley Kan officials said. There was no listing for Randol Shelton in Schiller Park.  Spc. Keith Nurnberg26 of McHenry  Died Sept. 5 when insurgents attacked his unit during combat. He was assigned to Fort Benning Ga. the defense department said.  Nurnberg graduated from McHenry West High School in 1999. His mother Barb Nurnberg said her son was “proud to be a soldier.”  “He was very proud of what he was doing over there [in Iraq]” she said.  Nurnberg’s wife Tonya is expecting the couple’s first child in November. Family members said the child a boy will be named after his father.  The Nurnbergs lived in Genoa City Wis. after marrying in December. Operation Iraqi Freedom
