Justin Bieber had a car accident in L.A. so minor the police didn't file a report. But hundreds of news sites have filed one. He's okay, by the way.
Justin Bieber had a minor car accident on Tuesday, August 30, 2011- accent on the word minor - and the singer from Canada came out of it completely unscathed. The police also reported that the car Bieber was driving, a Ferrari, was unharmed. So he's fi...ne, his vehicle is fine, the other driver and car were fine - so what's the big deal?

There doesn't appear to be anything of real news in the story and yet it's been picked up by dozens of media sites, online and print.. The sheer volume of the news gathering organizations that have run with the story have driven it into the ground. It's overkill but if one News site reports the story other sites are forced to follow suit or they may look to be asleep at the wheel.

Here's just a sampling of the News sites that have reported on Bieber's minor car accident: ABC News, the L.A. Times, Newsday, Fox News, NBC, the Miami Herald, Access Hollywood, the Vancouver Sun, the Globe and Mail in Canada, the Daily Mail in the U.K., Adelaide Now in Australia and TMZ.
