Feeding Ethiopia's Children 1 - Kalkidan Yimam measures the arm of 10-month-old Firdoze in Meleb Village, Oromia. The red portion of the armband indicates Firdoze is severely malnourished. Drought threatens 4.8 million people in Ethiopia; the Government estimates 150,000 children under age five will soon require treatment for life-threatening malnutrition. Together, UNICEF and the Government are working to reach those in need.
