Noor Jelle, a herder in north eastern #Kenya has seen an increase in #drought frequency and a decrease in rainfall intensity and distribution, as well as intense rains and floods. Community members in Nanighi community report that #drought is causing livestock deaths, poor livestock production and livestock and human diseases, among other problems. CARE is helping six pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities in this area build their resilience to changing climate through its Adaptation Learning Programme (ALP).
