A child rests on his mother's back, waiting to be registered at Dagahaley, one of three camps that make up the Dadaab refugee camp in Northeastern Kenya.

Some 1,300 refugees arrive every day, the vast majority from war-torn Somalia. At least 80 percent of them are children.

Many people are dying within days -- even hours -- of arriving at the camps. 50 percent of the children are malnourished.

Help is desperately needed. Please consider making a lifesaving donation to CARE today: http://bit.ly/pz9RGp
