URGENT! Bo, 11-month-old Shepherd, needs rescue ASAP.

He was surrendered to Southern Ocean County Animal Facility because the owners' grandchildren are allergic.

He failed test for being too mouthy, but according to test, he never applied any pressure. He jumps up onto people and can be barky at dogs and people sometimes.

He failed his temperament test for food: When the plastic hand was in his dish he growled and grabbed hand with mouth.

The county will not allow him to go up for adoption so he must find a rescue or face euthansia.

We have a lot of volunteers interacting with him and he has been wonderful with all of us. He likes dogs and walks with many dogs in our daily pack walks.

We can put him together with a dog into the outdoor run for hours with no fighting or problems. He was paired up with a male Black lab who would mount him non stop and he was very tolerant and never got angry with this lab. That Lab was since adopted and now he is paired up with a nice, calm setter and the two of them lay nice together and just hang out. He sometimes will argue with dogs through a fence, but does not fight with them when there is no barrier.

He is affectionate and sweet. He acts very much like a shepherd and can be nervous and mouthy, but is still quite young.

He needs a rescue to take him or someone to adopt him through Rescue Ridge. This is a courtesy post, so please do not contact Rescue Ridge, but instead, please contact Lisa Flynn at lbflynn1@aol.com if you'd like to meet Bo.
