Lawrence Township's Police Canine Dyno is part of New Jersey's Task Force. As a part of homeland security, the canines and handlers involved in the Task force are deployed during state emergencies and bomb threats. Dyno also works as a patrol canine within Lawrence Township and is a valuable asset to officers on the street and serves to help protect other officers who can be placed in harms way. These situations also place the dog within harms way. Due to recent budget cuts, there is no funding to supply Dyno with a canine ballistic bullet proof vest. A vest that could make a difference between life and death for Dyno.

Rescue Ridge is raising the money to buy a vest for Dyno. The vest will cost $1,200 and we have already raised $550. Donations can be made to Rescue Ridge. Checks should be made out to Rescue Ridge and mailed to Maureen Bedard, 29 Locust Avenue, Eatontown, NJ 07724. Once we raise the $1,200, we will order the vest for Dyno. Dyno recently completed training school and we would like to present Dyno and his handler Ron with the vest as soon as possible.

The canines serve to protect our patrol officers as well as the citizens of New Jersey. Dyno helps protect us - let's help protect him!

Please cross post, network, facebook and tweeter for Dyno.
