The water is rising up toward the snowflake because it is untreated. Treated water lies flat in all situations. If you see a sign with flat water, that indicates treatment. These are things you should know as swimming adults.

Um.... isn't opaque, cold water in winter most likely ICE?

usually when I notice a snowflake, I also notice that its winter, and I'm a silly fool for wanting to swim in a pond. a silly fool.

What do they do if the water is untreated and cold, but no longer opaque?

Deep slit? What is this, the Mike Show?

So wait...is it deep water or deep silt? If the deep silt is below the deep water, it wouldn't really matter, would it?

makes me want to dive right in.

I could do with one of those deep silt signs to display over my life :)

I had no idea 8 year old girls had such big feet (unless that is Julia Roberts).

I am glad they realized how much a symbol is needed for that.

I'm also very relieved to learn the symbol for "Deep Silt"
