At LSTAR’s 2010 Annual General Meeting REALTOR® Cheryl Miller received the Association’s Quality of Life Award. Miller,  a Trustee and former chair of the London Board of Education for 13 years and a City Councilor for 14, has an impressive record of service. Not only did she serve as  the Executive Director for Junior Achievement for London and St. Thomas and the Regional Manager for the Arthritis Society of Canada, she has sat on the Boards of the  London Economic Development Corporation, the London Convention Centre, MainStreet London, the London Downtown Business Association and the Old East Business Improvement Area and as a Governor of the Western Fair Association.   A past President and charter member of the Rotary Club of London South, she was recognized by her club as a “Paul Harris Fellow” for her “Service above Self.”  As the Chair of the Women’s Build for Habitat for Humanity London, she partnered with the school boards to give young women a hands-on opportunity to learn about the trades and as a Past President and current board member for Youth Opportunities Unlimited, she is involved in a capital campaign to raise dollars for the “Cornerstone” project – intended to serve as a national prototype for  providing extensive holistic services and supports for local youth in the areas of affordable housing, health and nutrition, alternative education, mentorship, counselling, skills development and employment opportunities. She is Vice President of the Forever Living Legacy and co-chairs with Ed Holder, MP for London West, Celebrate London, a free event for families on New Year’s Eve. Recently, Cheryl was the campaign co-chair for Joe Fontana in his successful 2010 Mayoralty election campaign.
