This is a sketch of the herb garden box that hangs on my patio railing. I'm very proud of this little patch of herbs because I've been able to keep it alive for more than a month! I don't have a very good track record with plants, but now that I live in L.A. (I'm a mountain girl born and raised) I need to see some green vibrancy when I look out the window, and not just traffic. I think my little garden is so beautiful and gives me so much pleasure. And it's delicious to cook with! I would really love to win the Nature Drawing Journal, so I have a great excuse to go out in search of some other great patches of green!
