A modification of Boyd's OODA Loop showing simple feedback loops that inform the mental construct an individual has with the world around him. This can also be used to represent an organization as well...but realize that not everyone in that organization will be seeing the same thing based on their own internal prejudices which have formed over a lifetime, rightly, or wrongly interpreted. Most of our conflicts within an organization arise from many people seeing the same events unfold, and interpreting them differently...sometimes to the point where they construct (or find ready made by others) a set of conspiracy theories that explain (to them, at least) why thinghs have happened the way they have. These people only accept observations that for their mental construct. All else is discarded.
The people (or organizations) which can best model reality, tend to be more successful than those who do not. Interesting things can happen if a majority of people in a given situation ignore data that does not confirm their cognitive bias...
