This is EU's agencies official data, to be compared with JP's official data available in one of these links: http://bit.ly/gwAMqV http://bit.ly/hgKrhW http://bit.ly/f9dCrS (GreenPeace said today their measurements agreed with JP officia

Read the disclaimer on that website; they are using consumer-grade detectors with +/-30% accuracy for high dose rates (http://bit.ly/hJq6cV)

According to this graph: http://bit.ly/g7crbB the level in Tokyo is barely 0.15μSv, so 150nSv.

I thought current levels in Tokyo are 0.3 μSv (microsievert) or 300 (nSv) nanosievert. Radiations in this map are lower: 100-200 nanosievert (which is really trace amounts).

Unfortunately US publish data in cpm http://bit.ly/hL9512 (not easy to compare); but US isn't diff

I'd like to see a map like this for the US. Does one exist? It would help my mother stop panicking.

Si te refieres al punto verde: medidor instalado en el CIEMAT (Ciudad Univ); http://bit.ly/fk9z35

paboseki 423 days ago

¿Qué es el punto que está más o menos por Madrid?

daniel_garcia_r 423 days ago

Most radioactive places on Earth are usually coal mines & related industry + granite-rich mountains

daniel_garcia_r 423 days ago

Another ex. (orange dot in PT, which has no NPP): N.P. of Serra da Etrela's granite mountains

daniel_garcia_r 423 days ago

Btw, you can see NPP locations by using "layer manager" at EURDEP; won't find highest values there.

daniel_garcia_r 423 days ago

No, that orange point in the middle of FR is Montluçon, old mining (bit of U, essentially coal) town

divomylove 423 days ago

is orange dot of France near the nuclear plant?

daniel_garcia_r 423 days ago

That means above current "Tokyo accidental levels" (~ 110 nSv/h) : http://bit.ly/g7crbB or http://bit.ly/hgKrhW

daniel_garcia_r 423 days ago

As you can see, millions of Europeans live with bkground dose rate levels between 100 - 200 nSv/h (green dots)
