McCarran Airport

McCarran International Airport is the nation's eighth-busiest airport and serves more than 30 airlines with nonstop service to over 140 destinations.

On this day in 1963, McCarran relocated its terminal from Las Vegas Blvd. to its current location off Paradise Rd. The new building featured modern architecture, an expanded ticketing area, multiple gates and a distinctive “clam shell” structure that’s part of today’s A and B Concourses.
