Tokyo: a huge earthquake struck this area in 1923. so that preparing for a sudden earthquake, evacuation training is performed at school/office at least once a year.

Tokio Japan is said to be the safest metropolis on the planet. Business people who can't reach home before they need to leave for work the next day, can sleep in the street without fear of being mugged or anything.
