Ever since I was little, I have idolized Anne Frank and her natural talent for writing. I always wish that she had survived the Holocaust, and that I could have met her. I’m presently reading a biography about the Frank family, and what happened to them and the other four people who hid in the Secret Annex after they were discovered and sent to concentration camps. It makes me cry every time, and to think that these events were real - and happened only a little more than sixty years ago, nonetheless - just blows my mind.
