This is a personal favorite. Once again we have an antique painted escutcheon as the backdrop for some delicious Victorian "bits". An antique twinkle button is the first charm at the top. It is a metal button with a filigree top underneath which is a sparkle layer that makes the button appear to twinkle. The second charm is the masterpiece. It is a rose gold filled lace pin...It has a cork screw pin back that would be twisted thru the lace without damaging it...The faceted stone is glass...maybe these were used as button studs???. Off the bottom of the keyhole is a celluloid "stone" bead that is worn smooth with age. The chain on this short necklace is a wonderfully articulated watch chain that may have been silver over brass because you can see the brass peeking thru the worn surface. Bits of chain complete the necklace which is about 16" making it a great wear alone or a layering piece...but however its worn it is definitely OOAK! (One of a Kind)
