Look at that site you mention. Poisonous snakes have a wide head which narrows a lot to almost a point. Any snake will try to strike, just about. Poisonous or not.
It actually is very small snake, but postured to strike. I keep wanting to say its a western pigmy rattlesnake (http://www.herpsofarkansas.com/Main/Snake)
