“Freeway” Rick Ross has teamed with Emmy Award winning actor and writer Nick Cassavetes, who will help produce and write a screenplay based on Ross’ life. Ross and Cassavetes are working in conjunction with the Geno Taylor and Apocalypto Films to write and produce the screenplay to Ross’ life.

The untitled, autobiographical film will reveal the truth about his Los Angeles upbringing, his struggle to become financially literate, his time behind bars and his journey to becoming educated.

With thousands of employees, Ross claimed he operated drug sales not only in Los Angeles but in places across the country including St. Louis, New Orleans, Texas, Kansas City, Oklahoma, Indiana, Cincinnati, North Carolina, South Carolina, Baltimore, Cleveland, and Seattle. He has said many times that his most lucrative sales came from the Ohio area. He made similar claims in a 1996 PBS interview.
