The Nile is Eternal, Kind and Generous, the Mississippi; Mighty, Murky and Treacherous .... I Choose The Nile to Swim in.

One Millions to Hit the Streets on Friday. #Jan25 #Egypt #Sidibouzid

A call for all Egyptians has been issued to come out after Jummaah prayers and demand the ousting of despondent dictator Hosni Mubarak who ruled Egypt with an iron fist for thirty years. The call has described the regime as the worst in Egypt’s modern history.

The call came in the form of clandestinely circulating leaflets in Cairo pprovided practical and tactical instructions for mass demonstrations, confronting riot police, and besieging and taking control of government offices.

The slick leaflet is comprised of 12 page-documents and calls on demonstrators to begin with peaceful march, carrying roses but no banners, and proceed to official buildings while persuading riot policemen and soldiers to join in their ranks.

The leaflet contains instructions on redistribution by email and photocopy, but not to use social media such as Facebook and Twitter, which are being monitored by the notorious state police.

Protesters in Cairo are advised to gather in large numbers in their own neighborhoods away from police and troops and then move towards key installations such the state broadcasting Headquarters on the Nile Corniche and try to take control "in the name of the people not the name of any specific faction". Other priority targets are the Republican Palace, the official president residency, and police stations in several parts of central Cairo.

The leaflet includes Google Earth maps and photographs with navigational routes and diagrams on required crowd formations.

Suggested "positive" slogans include "long live Egypt" and "down with the corrupt regime". There are no signs of slogans reflecting the agenda of the powerful but banned Muslim Brotherhood.

The leaflet advises the participating crowds to wear clothing such as hooded jackets, light running shoes, goggles and scarves to protect against teargas, and to carry dustbin lids – to ward off baton blows and rubber bullets, first aid kits, and roses to symbolize their peaceful and intentions and reflect sophistication.

The diagrams show how to defend against riot police and push in waves to break through their ranks. Emphasis is on protecting each other, “Safety in Number”, the leaflet says.

It is important to prevent policemen penetrating the ranks of demonstrators, it adds. If they do, they should be persuaded to change sides and reminded that their own families could be among the people.

Banners are suggested to be hanged on balconies and crowd-born banners are to include mentioning the Nannoose thought of as being prepared to inherit the despondent dictator should be labeled "Cowardly Mubarak", with the words "Where's Daddy now?" Another idea is the country's national symbol of an eagle with "Egypt's Liberation Day" underneath it.

It should be interesting to follow and see what the regime has prepared for one million protesters tomorrow.
