Numerous organizations representing a broad cross-section of the nation—people with health problems and disabilities, seniors, children, women, health care providers, small business owners, communities of color, people of faith, and health care consumers— gather at the Capitol Visitors Center, Room HVC-215 today, Wednesday, January 19, to affirm their support of the Affordable Care Act and to express their opposition to H.R. 2, a bill that would repeal health reform.

The gathering is being held in response to a vote scheduled in the U.S. House that seeks to repeal the Affordable Care Act. More than 150 groups (including APHA) are standing together to protect the Affordable Care Act and to emphasize the broad array of rights and benefits that would be lost by a repeal.
