Drunk driver slams into a police car in South Austin. The driver, 30-year-old Sarah Tamayo, struck the side of an Austin Police car while the officer was sitting inside. The officer was stopped in the 600 block of W. Ben White directing traffic around a previous crash. The officer was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Tamayo has been charged with Intoxication Assault, 3rd degree felony, and Aggravated Assault, 2nd degree felony.
